Course description
The European Cultures and Society (EUCS) bachelor’s degree program at Europa-Universität Flensburg is an English-taught, interdisciplinary course that delves into European scholarship and research within the humanities, cultural studies, and social sciences. As an EUCS student, you will gain specialized and methodological skills in these disciplines, focusing on areas pertinent to European Studies. You will choose to concentrate on either cultural or social sciences. Additionally, you will develop practical expertise in various fields relevant to Europe. The program includes a mandatory semester abroad at one of our numerous international partner universities. A grade point average of at least 10 in the subject English in the upper secondary school (gymnasiale Oberstufe), whereby English must also have been taken without interruption until the Abitur (average grade of the last four half-years) A school-leaving certificate from an English-speaking school entitling the holder entrance into higher education Achievement of specified minimum scores or grades in recognized language tests: FCE (First Certificate in English): Grade B CAE (Certificate in Advanced English): Grade C (passed) CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English): Grade C (passed) IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Band Score 6.5 TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): Internet-Based Testing: at least 90 points (of max. 120) Paper-Based Testing: at least 577 points (of max. 677) Computer-Based Testing: at least 233 points (from max. 300).
