Course description
The Joint Master in Heritage Conservation and Site Management is a collaborative program between BTU Cottbus–Senftenberg and Helwan University in Cairo. Supported by the German Archaeological Institute and the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, this program aims to equip students with essential skills for managing and preserving cultural heritage sites. The curriculum covers a range of subjects, including strategies and methodologies for heritage conservation, heritage site management, and tourism and visitor management. Students engage in two practice-oriented study projects, ensuring they gain hands-on experience. This program is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills, preparing students to effectively manage and conserve cultural heritage sites.
