Course description

The Sociology of Inequality is a consecutive Master's programme in English, designed for those who have completed a three-year Bachelor's in social sciences, such as sociology, political and administrative science, or economics. This programme stands out due to its research-oriented approach, focusing on social inequality as a critical contemporary issue. It offers rigorous training in quantitative methods and ensures personal and individual supervision. Students can choose between a six-month external internship or an international exchange, spending a semester at one of our partner universities. The programme's unique emphasis on social inequality, combined with its close ties to the Graduate School of the Social and Behavioural Sciences (GSBS) and the Cluster of Excellence The Politics of Inequality, makes it exceptional in Germany and across the European Union.
