Course description
Environmental planning and territorial development are crucial tools for achieving sustainable development today. The impacts of global and regional changes on humanity, flora, fauna, and ecological and economic systems are becoming more evident. Society faces significant challenges such as climate change, renewable energy development, urban-rural dynamics, and biodiversity conservation. The Master’s programme in Environmental Planning and Territorial Development offers two specialized tracks: Nature Conservation and Landscape Planning, and Territorial Development. The Nature Conservation and Landscape Planning track focuses on extensive nature conservation and its integration into landscape planning. Meanwhile, the Territorial Development track emphasizes planning and control instruments to incorporate environmental perspectives into comprehensive spatial development. Students in this program become experts in understanding landscapes and regions, considering their natural features, current uses, and potential within contemporary complexity and spatial development. They learn to create landscape designs that balance various usage interests while adhering to nature conservation and planning laws. This training equips them to address the pressing environmental challenges of our time effectively.
