Course description
As society and the economy continue to digitize, machine learning is playing a crucial role, especially in natural language processing. Computational linguists are at the forefront, enhancing everyday activities and streamlining operational processes. At the University of Stuttgart, the M.Sc. Computational Linguistics (CL) master’s program offers a top-tier, research-focused education. This two-year program, provided by the Institute for Natural Language Processing, benefits from a small institute setting, fostering close collaboration between students and researchers. The curriculum emphasizes teamwork, lab work, and research skills. Building on the foundation laid in the Natural Language Processing (NLP) bachelor’s program or a similar course, this master’s program delves deeper into specialized skills in text and language processing. Students gain hands-on experience and advanced knowledge, preparing them for significant contributions in the field.
