Course description
Architectural and urban planning tasks constantly face political, cultural, technical, economic, social, and ecological shifts. In the internationally oriented, English-language master's program in Architecture Typology, you will learn to integrate these diverse, often conflicting requirements and goals into the design process, creating comprehensive architectural solutions. A key focus of the course is building typology. To address current challenges, building typologies are being reimagined, and tools are being developed to provide nuanced answers to complex questions within their specific contexts. This involves using established typological analysis and design methods, as well as new, experimental, digital, and speculative practices of type formation. In this program, you will gain the skills to navigate and harmonize the multifaceted demands of modern architecture. The curriculum is designed to equip you with the knowledge and tools to rethink building typologies and develop innovative solutions. By mastering both traditional and cutting-edge methods, you will be prepared to tackle the intricate challenges of contemporary architectural design.
