Georg August University Goettingen
Göttingen
European & Transnational Intellectual Property & Information Technology Law
Subjects: Law
LL.M. | Master of Laws
Course description
The LL.M. in European and Transnational Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law (LIPIT) is a postgraduate program designed to provide a deep understanding of the legal issues that arise from the creation and use of literary or artistic works, mechanical or scientific inventions, digital information, and other intangible assets. This program covers a broad range of subjects, including copyright, patents, trademarks, telecommunications, electronic commerce, information security, and data protection. Given the increasing frequency of transactions involving intellectual property and information technology products that cross national borders, this LL.M. Program is inherently international and comparative. It presents solutions from various legal systems when addressing modern problems in IP and IT law. Cases that span multiple countries are regularly discussed and analyzed. This approach makes the program suitable for lawyers and other professionals from different countries, rather than being confined to a single jurisdiction.
