Proudly rooted in Baden-Wuerttemberg, but with an international reach, Hochschule Offenburg hosts over 4,500 students across its four major faculties (Business Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Media and Information Technology). Offering various international master's courses, the school supports a lively foreign student community and carries out a range of cutting-edge research.
Offenburg University of Applied Sciences is one of Germany's premier universities for students who are keen to enter the country's media industry. Formed in the 1960s as a specialist engineering school, the university has developed strong partnerships with the region's powerful media companies (especially Hubert Burda Media, which is based on Offenburg). Nowadays, the 4,500 strong student body studies a diverse range of bachelor's and master's courses.
The school doesn't tend to offer English language courses at BA level although a variety of international programs are available for master's students. The university has a rich variety of connections to global universities, resulting in plenty of research, work, and exchange possibilities. Back in Germany, the school also runs "Intercultural Competency Certificate" qualifications to help immerse visitors in German society, and these provide in-depth language support where needed.
Internationals studying for more than one year in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg will have to pay a €1,500 tuition fee per semester.
