The AKAD University is a private University of Applied Sciences based in Stuttgart. AKAD is one of Germany’s leading universities for distance learning. It’s also one of the oldest private universities in Germany and has an excellent reputation for delivering highly-regarded course programs in business, management, engineering and computer science.

The AKAD University (Stuttgart) was founded in 1959. It offers 32 Bachelor's and 18 Master's programs. There are 5500 students enrolled at the AKAD Stuttgart, with an average age of 30 years.
The AKAD University in Stuttgart offers students a flexible learning approach. A wide choice of Bachelor's, Master's, University Certificate and Language Diplomas are available in both part-time and full-time formats. The university is therefore popular with mature students, particularly those who are looking to study alongside other commitments such as family life or employment.
Students study the courses online and then take examinations in one of many exam offices located across the country. The majority of programs are delivered in German. Uniquely, the AKAD offers new students a four-week free trial for all major courses. The university has an impressively high graduation rate, with 96% of students graduating immediately.
Internationals studying for more than one year in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg will have to pay a €1,500 tuition fee per semester.
