Course description

Our cognitive abilities enable us to engage with objects and people around us, adapt to external changes, and gain knowledge. We do this by using our senses, relying on past experiences, and leveraging our capacity to learn, reason, and plan. Systems that mimic or replicate these human cognitive abilities are known as cognitive systems. To function effectively, these systems must possess certain capabilities. In the study of Cognitive Science, students explore how these abilities work in humans and how they can be replicated in machines. Programs like Artificial Intelligence and Robotics delve into the technical aspects of creating such systems. These fields require a deep understanding of sensory processing, experiential learning, and strategic planning. By integrating knowledge from these study subjects, we can develop systems that interact seamlessly with their environment, much like humans do. This involves not just technical proficiency but also an appreciation for the complexities of human cognition. The goal is to create systems that are not only functional but also intuitive and responsive to the needs of their users.

Language Requirements

Applicants for an English-language course of study must demonstrate English language skills. Language skills at level C 1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR) are required for the master's degree programs in Cognitive Systems, Communication and Information Technology, Molecular Medicine and Molecular and Translational Neuroscience .
