Course description
The Master's degree program aims to build on a geoscientific Bachelor's degree, training scientists to tackle groundwater protection, groundwater management, and the remediation of groundwater resources. This program covers both geoscientific aspects and business considerations, including environmental law and the general management of georesources. Graduates will become versatile and cooperative specialists, capable of managing projects independently and taking on leadership roles. Students will be motivated to apply their knowledge and skills effectively, both independently and as part of a team. They will solve professional tasks with a sense of overall responsibility as geoscientists and managers. The program emphasizes the development of communication, personality skills, and people management. Students will work independently on hydrogeological and hydrological issues in both science and practice. This includes methods for exploring and developing groundwater, protecting groundwater, and investigating groundwater and surface water concerning water chemistry. The curriculum ensures that students are well-prepared to address complex challenges in groundwater protection and management, fostering a comprehensive understanding of both scientific and business perspectives.
