Course description
Starting in the winter semester of 2015/16, the MSc in Applied and Molecular Plant Biology will transition to an international, English-language MSc in Molecular Plant Sciences. This revamped program zeroes in on the management and application of molecular biological methods within biology, a subject often discussed in broader societal debates. Over four semesters, students engage in a research- and application-oriented curriculum. They delve into molecular biological, physiological, and histological methods, applying these techniques independently in experiments. The program places a strong emphasis on precision and proper scientific procedures when deriving, formulating, and testing hypotheses. Additionally, students examine the socio-economic context of molecular biology. This exploration equips them to critically assess and contribute to advancements in the field. The program aims to foster a deep understanding of both the technical and societal aspects of molecular plant sciences, preparing students to make meaningful contributions to the discipline.
