This program offers a comprehensive understanding of organismic biology, integrating disciplines such as systematics, phylogeny, paleobiology, physiology, ecology, molecular biology, and ethology. Students gain a wide array of methodological skills essential for scientific research. These skills prepare them to tackle scientific challenges within international and interdisciplinary research groups and networks. The program emphasizes hands-on research experience, both in the field and in the laboratories of participating research groups. Students also benefit from access to extensive collections at the Zoological Museum Alexander Koenig, the Goldfuß Museum of Paleontology, and the Botanical Gardens of the University of Bonn.
