Proof of adequate English language skills through a recognised language test such as the "Test of English as a Foreign Language" (TOEFL) (at least 88 points), the "International English Language Testing System" (IELTS) (at least 6.5 points) or the "Cambridge Main Suite of English Examinations". Proof of a degree taught and examined in English in its entirety, or at least 12 ECTS (including the thesis) or a GMAT score of at least 600 points demonstrating adequate knowledge of English. As a foreign student, knowledge of German is not required at the time of application. However, proof of basic German language skills (comparable to level A1) must be submitted by the end of second semester.
Qualification Requirements
In order to qualify for admission to the Master’s in Finance and Information Management, applicants must meet all of the following criteria: A Bachelor's degree (with at least 6 semesters of regular study) or an equivalent degree in economics or social sciences, industrial engineering, information systems, (applied) computer science, mathematics (including financial and business mathematics), statistics, or a comparable degree program. A scientific paper within the scope of a Bachelor's thesis, a project, a scientific essay, or a comparable achievement amounting to at least 5 ECTS. We would like to inform you that applicants with a Bachelor’s degree from China, Bangladesh, India, Egypt and Pakistan have to submit a GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) with at least 640 points with their application. Please find more information on the required GMAT Score for Master´s programs here. It is our primary goal to support students in the best possible way during their application process. If you have any questions or doubts regarding your application, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to assist you. For applicants from other countries, the GMAT remains optional. However, depending on the GMAT score, additional points will be awarded at the first stage of the assessment procedure. The changes will apply for applications for the winter semester 2023/24 and onwards. Furthermore, ranking certificates are not considered anymore. We use the overall grade for evaluating applications.
