Course description
TUM Asia is dedicated to shaping future leaders in key technology sectors. The 2-year full-time Master of Science in Industrial Chemistry is designed to equip specialist engineers for the pharmaceutical, fine, and specialty chemical industries. This degree is jointly awarded by Technische Universität München (TUM) and the National University of Singapore (NUS). TUM's Faculty of Chemistry is renowned in Germany for its excellence in research and education, boasting over 50 professors and their research groups in various modern chemistry fields. The master program covers selected facets of chemistry, blending classic inorganic and polymer chemistry with chemical engineering. Given the complexity and diversity of industrial chemistry, the program offers three major specializations: catalysis and petrochemistry, building and material science, and an interdisciplinary combination. These specializations, which require similar skills, are taught intensively in the latter part of the course. Graduates will gain the knowledge and skills needed to tackle challenges in chemistry, chemical engineering, and construction chemistry. The program emphasizes methods to ensure affordable and sustainable processes in the chemical industry, using resources efficiently.
