Smart Energy Systems
Subjects: Energy Systems
M.Eng. | Master of Engineering
Course description
The energy industry is in the midst of a significant transformation, driven by the shift towards renewable energy. Sources like photovoltaics and wind power are on the rise, enabling consumers to produce their own energy. This shift towards decentralised energy production, coupled with the variability of sources like solar power, necessitates smart networking solutions. Digitalisation is key to creating a sustainable and economical energy system, ensuring long-term supply security. To achieve this, we need experts with a deep understanding of energy sciences and digital technologies. These professionals must also be skilled in organisational implementation, considering economic, legal, and ecological factors. Study programs such as Energy Sciences and Digital Technologies are essential for training these interdisciplinary experts.
