Course description
The six-semester, English-taught Bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical Engineering (International) at KIT equips students with the skills needed for lifelong learning and careers in mechanical engineering. This program prepares graduates for roles in private industry, services, and public administration. Students gain essential communicative, organizational, social, and intercultural skills, making them suitable for international companies and organizations. Mechanical Engineering (International) is aimed predominantly at international students. The majority of study places in this program is reserved for such students. The degree program is taught solely in English. Accepted proofs of language skills are e.g. TOEFL (250/88) or Cambridge Proficiency (see "Zulassungssatzung" / admission regulations). Proof of German language skills is not necessary.
Qualification Requirements
Prerequisites for admission to the program are a recognized university entrance certificate (equal to the German Abitur) as well as a SAT test with a score of at least 1,200. In addition, a letter of motivation needs to be included. If there are more applicants than study places, a selection procedure will take place.
