Course description
The Faculty of Law at Goethe University offers a one-year master’s degree programme (LL.M.) tailored specifically for foreign law graduates. Established in 1989, this programme is designed for those who have completed legal studies at a foreign university with course requirements similar to those in Germany. Candidates must demonstrate adequate knowledge of the German language. The programme aims to provide students with a solid grounding in the basics of German law and the opportunity to delve deeply into a specific area of German, European, or international law. LL.M. students can choose their specialisation from any of the areas offered by the Faculty. The Faculty of Law at Goethe University excels in legal history and legal theory. It also focuses on comparative law, international law, European law, and the emerging field of law and finance. The Faculty is centrally located on the new Campus Westend, a modern and attractive campus that reflects the vibrant, urban flair and the open, tolerant atmosphere of the city and its university.
