Course description
Students gain essential professional skills for practicing health professions through their training at the vocational school. They build on the knowledge and understanding specific to their chosen health field: nursing specialist with a focus on inpatient acute care, pediatric care/health and children's nursing, inpatient long-term care/care for the elderly, physiotherapy, speech therapy, orthoptics, medical-technical laboratory assistance (MTLA), and medical-technical radiology assistance (MTRA). Throughout their studies, students deepen their technical skills and develop interdisciplinary abilities. These skills include applying knowledge and solving problems in their health profession (instrumental skills), engaging in subject-related discussions and exchanges with colleagues and other professionals (interpersonal/communicative skills), and independently gathering information, making judgments, and continuing to learn (systemic competence). The program also fosters mutual understanding among different professional groups. The course follows an innovative approach to interprofessional learning and teaching, ensuring students are well-prepared for collaborative work environments.
