Course description
The Master's program emphasizes research-based learning centered on key issues of peace, conflict, and international politics. It delves into the dynamics and frameworks of violent conflicts, examining how these are intertwined with the broader landscape of international politics. The program also explores the potential for cooperation among various actors to address and manage such conflicts. Students will engage in critical re-evaluation and advancement of essential concepts, institutions, and strategies for violence prevention and peaceful conflict resolution. This is grounded in methodologically sound and theoretically informed research. Additionally, the curriculum addresses fundamental ethical questions in international politics and the normative principles underlying peace. The study subjects include the processes and structures of violent conflicts, the broader structures of international politics, and the opportunities for cooperation in conflict management. The program also covers the critical re-thinking and development of violence prevention and peaceful conflict transformation strategies, as well as core ethical questions and normative foundations of peace.

Qualification Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations or a comparable subject is required for this Master’s degree program. The final grade (GPA) must be at least "good" (2.5, upper second class or equivalent). Applicants must provide proof of their knowledge of English at the level of B2/C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
