Course description
Mobility shapes how we engage in social and economic activities, influences the layout of our communities, and impacts the environment through transportation. Designing effective mobility systems is a complex task. We see significant changes in transport modes like automated driving, electric vehicles, drones, and high-speed railroads. The organization of transport is evolving with intermodal mobility, sharing technologies, mobility platforms, and the use of big data. Transport infrastructure is also advancing with intelligent roads and charging stations. Financing mobility through user fees is another area undergoing transformation. These changes bring about extensive management and methodological challenges at operational, social, and methodological levels. This degree course equips you with the knowledge and skills to understand, research, and design mobility solutions, considering their economic, ecological, and spatial impacts. You will study subjects such as automated driving, electric vehicles, drones, high-speed railroads, intermodal mobility, sharing technologies, mobility platforms, big data, intelligent roads, charging stations, and user financing. This program prepares you to tackle the challenges of modern mobility with a comprehensive understanding of its various dimensions.
