Course description
The extraction of mineral raw materials represents the largest mass movement on Earth. Each year, over 30 billion tons of stone, earth, ores, and energy resources are mined globally. These materials are the backbone of our modern lifestyle. The raw materials industry, therefore, presents a wide array of professional opportunities. Engineers in this field develop and manage large-scale technologies, working closely with natural resources. Students enrolled in the unique master's degree program in Germany can specialize in either Mineral Resource Engineering or Process Engineering. They have the freedom to design their own study program from a diverse pool of courses. This includes traditional classes, e-learning, practical elements, simulation games, and self-study projects. The curriculum integrates research-oriented practical work within companies or organizations in the raw materials sector. Besides engineering knowledge, the program also imparts management skills, preparing students for leadership roles in their careers.
