Course description
Our curriculum blends advanced computer science methods with mathematics. As a Data Science student, you'll master scalable database technologies and apply statistical knowledge to build predictive models. Data Science empowers companies to create new data products, and learning to market and promote these products is crucial. You'll learn to measure the effectiveness of data products and communicate their value in commercial settings. After covering the basics of Data Science in Computer Science and Statistics, you'll explore a wide range of Machine Learning methods. You'll also delve into essential tools and practices like data preparation and big data analytics, applying them in real-world scenarios. Additionally, you'll have the chance to develop an innovative idea from start to finish, either by creating a startup or collaborating with leading companies in Berlin. Our program also addresses important considerations such as ethics, responsibility, data privacy, and the economics of data products. Your Master’s thesis will contribute to a current research project, an industrial partnership, or a startup idea.
