Course description

If you have your own ideas and find fixed curricula too restrictive, the Interdisciplinary Research Master (IRMA) is the right program for you. Don't study a subject, but your own research project! This research master's program is unique in Europe. The course follows the logic of a project, not that of a discipline. In two years, students can design their own curriculum in close collaboration with their supervisors and guided by a close-knit advisory team. The Master's degree program therefore offers an individual, yet goal-oriented course of study between economics, culture, and politics, which facilitates the transition to an academic or practical research career. If you crave intellectual freedom and find traditional curricula limiting, the Interdisciplinary Research Master (IRMA) is your ideal program. Here, you won't just study a subject; you'll dive into your own research project! This unique research master's program stands out in Europe. It follows the logic of a project rather than a discipline. Over two years, you'll craft your own curriculum, working closely with supervisors and a dedicated advisory team. This Master's degree program offers a personalized, yet focused, study path that bridges economics, culture, and politics, easing your way into an academic or practical research career.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants with an undergraduate degree in a different subject unfortunately cannot be considered for the one-year master’s qualifications. For a one-year master’s study program in Corporate Management & Economics, you will need an undergraduate degree in management and economics with at least 240 ECTS points. For the one-year master’s study program in Politics, Administration & International Relations, you will need an undergraduate degree in politics or administrative sciences with at least 240 ECTS points. Applicants who do not have German as a native language will need to provide evidence of their knowledge of German (Level C1). At the request of the university, applicants must provide the relevant evidence within the prescribed limitation period, and must also submit a declaration that they have not definitively failed an examination in a study program at any other German university (in a subject closely related to their chosen course at Zeppelin University), that they have not lost the right to sit examinations for any other reason, and that they are not currently involved in any ongoing examination proceedings.
