Course description
In the “International Economics & Public Policy” (MA IEPP) degree program, students delve into the global interdependencies of social subsystems and their impact on political program implementation. The program emphasizes understanding the interactions between politics and economics on an international scale. It addresses the international challenges of economic, financial, and environmental policy, with a particular focus on Europe and Asia. The English-taught course is guided by the principle of exploring effective and legitimate governance and economic activity in the 21st century, considering political-economic interdependencies. Students engage deeply with theoretical concepts and practical applications from selected political science sub-areas, integrated with economic structures. This approach allows them to develop specific competencies and specialization profiles. The MA IEPP program raises awareness of global problems and trouble spots, equipping students with the knowledge to navigate and address these issues. Through a blend of rigorous academic study and practical insights, the program prepares students to tackle the complexities of international economics and public policy.

Applicants must prove their English language proficiency at a level equivalent to C1 of the CEF (Common European Framework). The following tests are accepted as proof of English proficiency. The test must have been taken within the last three years: TOEFL (Code 9208): at least 215 points (computer based) or 550 points (paper based) or 80 points (internet based) Institutional Test report (not the Test Taker Score Report) Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) IELTS / IELTS Academic Online (at least 6.5 points) UNIcert III (common certificate at European Universities)

proof of English language proficiency (MOI or similar is not sufficient) proof of payment of the evaluation fee (Uni Assist report or payment slip of APS is not sufficient) APS certificate (APS application form is not sufficient) Certificate of completed 4-year Bachelor course including final transcript showing all 8 semesters and a final passing grade If a 3-year specialised or Honours Bachelor course has been completed, you must in addition show proof of (at least) 1 year successful Master course - hand in Bachelor certificate, Bachelor transcript and transcript of at least 2 semesters at Master level
