Course description

The master’s program in Electrical System Engineering (MS ESE) spans two years and is structured into four semesters. It includes three semesters of coursework and a six-month Master's thesis. MS ESE offers two specializations: Signal & Information Processing and Electronics & Devices. The Signal & Information Processing track delves into the computational aspects of system behavior. In contrast, the Electronics & Devices track focuses on IC design at the micro or nano scale and hardware implementation. Most courses are taught by the department's full professors. Additionally, renowned international professors visit Paderborn to deliver guest lectures on advanced systems engineering topics. The program also includes practically oriented advanced courses taught by industry lecturers.
