Course description

The interdisciplinary course units in the Environmental Science degree program are designed to connect individual modules and courses seamlessly. With a high number of international students, the program fosters a global learning environment. The curriculum also includes a diverse array of guest lecturers from both Germany and abroad, all teaching in English. Students shape their unique profiles by choosing specific modules that align with their career goals and personal interests. This tailored approach culminates in a master thesis within their selected areas of study. Additionally, various excursions complement the seminars, providing practical insights into potential career paths in environmental science. The program emphasizes essential skills such as scientific methods, writing, and presenting. While semesters abroad and placements are not officially part of the syllabus, students can incorporate these experiences into their studies individually.

Qualification Requirements

It is an access requirement for the master's programme, including for applications for admission to a higher semester, to possess a previous professionally qualifying degree [berufsqualifizierender Abschluss] in a bachelor's programme with a duration of at least six semesters in which at least 180 credit points were acquired, or to have successfully completed a relevant and equivalent course of study
