Course description
Digital media are revolutionizing communication, work, and leisure, while themselves evolving rapidly. To shape our future professionally and personally, we must adapt to this constant change. Media connect people, and digital media do so through interconnected computers that interact with humans. Human-computer interaction encompasses new devices, interaction metaphors, scientific evaluation, user experience design, serious games, computer graphics, cognitive foundations, and interactive art, both virtual and physical. It also raises cultural and social questions. The computer is the core tool for digital media, making programming a crucial skill. As Daniel Shiffman says, it allows you to "create your own media without the bonds of existing software tools." Building on this skill, the program delves into algorithmic questions in computer graphics and machine learning. This study program covers subjects like user experience design, serious games, computer graphics, cognitive foundations, and interactive art. It prepares you to navigate and influence the ever-changing landscape of digital media, ensuring you can meet both professional and personal needs.
