Course description

"Immunology as the key to better health" is the guiding principle for research into the immune system and its interplay with other systems, such as the metabolic and nervous systems. This connection is crucial for understanding human health and various diseases. The Medical Immunosciences and Infection degree program delves into immunological topics from a medical standpoint. The primary goal of this research-focused, international program is to prepare students for careers in medical research. The curriculum emphasizes the mechanisms and treatments of immune-mediated, inflammatory, and infectious diseases. Students gain specialized knowledge in translational, immunological, and infectiological research. Literature seminars cover current concepts in immunology and infection research, which students then apply directly to their research projects. This hands-on approach ensures that students are well-equipped to contribute to advancements in medical science.
