Course description

The interdisciplinary Master's degree program in Life Science Informatics equips graduates to tackle the technical and economic challenges at the crossroads of biotechnology, medicine, pharmacy, and informatics. This program emphasizes scientific and information technology skills, blending research with teaching. The curriculum covers four main areas: Informatics and Mathematics for Natural Scientists, Fundamentals of Life Science Informatics, Chemoinformatics and Computer-Assisted Drug Design, and Biology of Cell and Systems Biology. These subjects ensure students gain a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects. Informatics and Mathematics for Natural Scientists provide the foundational knowledge necessary for analyzing complex biological data. Fundamentals of Life Science Informatics delve into the core principles and applications within the field. Chemoinformatics and Computer-Assisted Drug Design focus on the computational techniques used in drug discovery and development.
