Course description

Brains are among the most intricate systems in nature. They govern perception, cognition, and ultimately, the behavior of both animals and humans. Grasping the mechanisms that enable adaptive behavior in complex environments is one of science's most captivating and demanding challenges. The graduate program, Behaviour: From Neural Mechanisms to Evolution, offers the essential interdisciplinary training for a thorough education. It covers key concepts, fundamental experimental techniques, and theoretical approaches necessary for cutting-edge research in this ambitious field. This program equips students with the knowledge to explore how neural mechanisms drive behavior and how these behaviors evolve. By integrating various scientific disciplines, it prepares graduates to contribute significantly to our understanding of adaptive behavior in both animals and humans.
