Course description

Today, the University of Bayreuth stands among the top young universities globally, securing a prominent spot in the Times Higher Education magazine's "100 under 50" ranking. This list highlights the 100 best universities worldwide that were established less than 50 years ago. As a small yet distinguished campus university, Bayreuth prioritizes enhancing its high-quality infrastructure over mere growth. The university excels by focusing on both disciplinary and interdisciplinary strengths, ensuring its place among the international elite. One standout program is the "Battery Materials & Technology" degree, unique in Germany. This program thrives due to its close ties with the "Bavarian Centre for Battery Technology" (BayBatt). Here, the University of Bayreuth conducts extensive research, covering everything from battery materials and analytics to the development of intelligent, networked, and sustainable energy storage systems for the future.
