Radiation Biology
Subjects: Radiation Biology;Biology
M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
The Master of Science Programme spans 4 semesters. In the first two semesters, students delve into the foundations of Radiation Biology, with each semester comprising three modules. These modules are enriched by hands-on research practical work and internships, where students spend several weeks collaborating with scientists in experimental radiation biology. In the third semester, students can choose two out of three specialized modules to focus on specific areas of radiobiological research. The options include Clinical and Experimental Radiooncology, Advanced Molecular Radiation Biology, and Advanced Radiation Protection Research. Additionally, a module on research management equips students for their 6-month research project in the fourth semester. The final research project can be undertaken at one of the affiliated research organizations in Munich or within another European radiobiological laboratory. This structure ensures that students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing them for a career in radiobiological research.
