Course description

Human activities, such as using raw materials, producing energy, building settlements and infrastructure, engaging in economic activities, and transporting goods and people, are deeply intertwined with the environment. These interactions are complex and multifaceted. Natural phenomena, in turn, can threaten human life and activities. This course focuses on these interactions between human activities and the environment. It trains engineers to understand, model, and estimate these mechanisms and their development. Based on this knowledge, they create strategies and measures to guide impacts in an ecologically, economically, and socially sustainable direction. In this program, students delve into subjects like environmental engineering, sustainable development, and resource management. They learn to balance human needs with environmental preservation, ensuring a harmonious coexistence. The curriculum equips them with the skills to analyze and address environmental challenges, fostering a future where human progress and environmental health go hand in hand.
