Course description
The Master's program in Nature Conservation and Landscape Planning offers a deep dive into scientific knowledge and professional skills in landscape planning. This program builds on a bachelor's degree in landscape and environmental planning, (landscape) ecology, or organismic biology. Today, we face significant challenges: changes in land use, global warming, population growth, urbanization, and rapid social and demographic shifts. These factors are transforming nature and landscapes both regionally and globally. Understanding and evaluating social and ecological processes is a core goal of this Master's program. Students receive training grounded in the latest scientific research. This education equips them to develop innovative solutions for nature conservation. They learn to implement these solutions through landscape planning and other conservation tools. The program emphasizes practical and theoretical knowledge, preparing graduates to address the pressing environmental issues of our time.
