Course description

The consecutive master's degree program is available as either a full-time or part-time course. For full-time students, the standard period of study is three semesters, while part-time students can take up to six semesters. The course structure includes two or four theoretical semesters, followed by the 3rd or 5th and 6th semesters dedicated to the master's thesis. This program aims to equip graduates for significant roles in development, project planning, and industry operations. Beyond technical and scientific knowledge, the program also provides business management, organizational, and linguistic skills. It prepares students for future management and leadership roles, emphasizing teamwork and leadership. Students can tailor their studies to their interests and career goals by choosing majors such as “Energy Process Engineering” (ET), “Process Engineering” (PT), or “Environmental Engineering” (UT). This program is designed to foster expertise and readiness for prominent positions in the industry, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Language Requirements

For the specializations Safety or Security, proof of language skills in German and English, both spoken and written, at a minimum level of B2 (in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR) is required

Qualification Requirements

Admission requirements: An above-average Bachelor's degree (grade average of at least 2,6 in accordance with the German grading system) from a recognized university with at least 210 ECTS credit points in the fields of technology and computer science or a business-related degree programm with a focus on technology Depending on the final grade (grade averages of 2,3 - 2,6), a successfully completed selection interview is required for admission Degree holders with degrees of at least 180 Credit Points (or equivalent, i.e. university degrees comprising of six semesters) may be required to complete additional qualifications (i.e. additonal lectures or practical training) Applicants with a foreign degree certificate must provide a uni-assist evaluation For the specializations Safety or Security, proof of language skills in German and English, both spoken and written, at a minimum level of B2 (in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR) is required In this program, 50 % of the modules are taught in English and 50 % of the modules are taught in German For the specialization "International", prerequisite is B1-level for German and B2-level for English (CEFR).
