Course description
The two-year master's program in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics is a rigorous, research-focused course designed to equip students with advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This program aims to provide a deep understanding of the complex financial and insurance markets. It bridges the gap between mathematics and financial economics. The curriculum builds on the foundational knowledge gained from a Bachelor's degree in business mathematics or a Bachelor's degree in mathematics with an application subject in economics, particularly from the RPTU in Kaiserslautern. Students are expected to have a solid grounding in basic mathematics, including theoretical and practical knowledge of stochastics and advanced probability theory. This program offers a comprehensive education that prepares students for the challenges of the financial and insurance sectors. It emphasizes the importance of a strong mathematical foundation and the application of these principles in real-world economic contexts.
