Course description
The two-year master's program in Business Mathematics is a scientific and research-focused course that bridges mathematics, economics, and computer science. This program builds on the knowledge gained from a Bachelor's degree in mathematics or business mathematics at the RPTU in Kaiserslautern. It assumes that students have foundational theoretical and practical skills in mathematical modeling, computer science, computer-aided methods, stochastics, and mathematical optimization. Additionally, students should have completed two introductory lectures in their chosen field of study and possess a solid understanding of economics.

Sufficient knowledge of the German and English languages must be demonstrated. Sufficient knowledge of the English language is present, for example, if the university entrance qualification (Abitur or similar) was acquired in Germany or is at least equivalent to that acquired in Germany in terms of training in English.
Qualification Requirements
As a special entry requirement for the Business Mathematics degree program, applicants must have successfully passed exams in the modules "Stochastic Methods" and "Linear and Network Optimization" (or equivalent modules), as well as in advanced modules in the subject area "Optimization & Stochastics" to the extent of at least 18 credit points as well as equivalent achievements to those inBachelor's degree in business mathematicsprovide evidence of modules to be completed in the subject of economics at the RPTU in Kaiserslautern.

Leaving certificate of the study courses and - if required - further documents showing final grade, duration of studies, and other performances, e.g. in form of an academic transcript, transcript of records, or equivalent proofs of performance. Description of contents of the courses listed in No. 1. Statement with reasons for the intended takingup of the studies and explanations of study aims. Presentation of professional and personal development (curriculum vitae), if applicable, with descriptions of practical knowledge and experience. Recommendation letters of at least 2 university/college lecturers. The recommendation letters should include statement on how well the applicant completed his/her studies in relation to other candidates of the course of studies.
