Course description
In the first semester, you will dive into Architectural Theory, Building Construction I + II, and Urban Analysis and Representation. Our collective focus is on a reflective approach to architecture and urban environments. We develop architectural ideas, concepts, and theories, then bring them to life through design. In the second semester, we shift our attention to an existing building. You'll engage in analysis, design, and building construction within the existing structure. This hands-on experience includes on-site exploration. A variety of electives will round out your semester before you begin your thesis. Our program is designed to foster a deep understanding of architecture and urban spaces, ensuring you are well-prepared for your future endeavors.

Qualification Requirements
A Bachelor Degree in Architecture (210 CP) is required with Numerus Clausus of 2.5 (according to German grading system). Bachelor graduates with 180 CP degrees have the opportunity to obtain additional 30 CP through a preliminary course (Pre-Course Practice in an architectural office as well as a Design Project). The practical pre-course must be started and successfully completed no later than the winter semester to ensure entry into the regular programme for the following summer semester English language proficiency: IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 80 / Duolingo Certificate 110 / PTE Academics 58, or a pass in a comparable aptitude test Architecture Portfolio Motivation letter
