Course description

For bachelor graduates in laser technology, additive manufacturing, biophotonics, mechanical engineering, and those pursuing a consecutive course of study in physical technology, the master's program in physical technology is designed to shape the engineers of tomorrow. This program focuses on future technologies like laser technology, 3D printing, and biophotonics. A significant advantage is the Laser Institute Mittweida University (LHM), which boasts cutting-edge laboratories equipped with a variety of laser systems for material processing and additive manufacturing. Additionally, there are well-equipped labs for biophotonics. Unlike other programs where students might only get hands-on experience with a few systems, LHM offers access to a wide range of systems from numerous manufacturers. This exposure allows students to familiarize themselves with different procedures and operating programs, giving them a competitive edge as they embark on their careers.
