Course description
The Master's program in Dental Technology (MDT) at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main kicks off in April 2019. This international program offers advanced academic training in dental technology with a multidisciplinary approach. It’s a 120 ECTS part-time course, conducted entirely in English. Over three years, you’ll travel to Goethe University four times, each visit lasting 8-10 days. During these visits, you’ll attend face-to-face seminars, lectures, and hands-on training sessions. The Master in Dental Technology is tailored for dentists and dental technicians (Bachelor / “Zahntechnikermeister”) aiming to gain advanced qualifications in dental technology. The “Master of Science in Dental Technology” course aims to support the evolving role of dental professionals and enhance collaboration with treating dentists. Students will delve into assessment procedures, planning, and scientific evaluation of complex dental restorations. The program emphasizes the synergy of different treatment regimes and the digital optimization of existing therapies, focusing on scientific aspects. This program is designed to provide a deep understanding of the field, ensuring you are well-equipped to handle complex treatments and work effectively with other dental professionals.

The MDT requires applicants whose native language is not English and who have not received a degree from a university in which all instruction is in English have to submit one of the following language certificates (or equivalent) along with the application: TOEFL iBT (minimum score: 87) IELTS (minimum score: 6.5) Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (CPE) Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) Or equivalent

The following items are required with your application: University Diploma for university graduates or certificate for the "Zahtechnikermeister" examination or equivalent * For dentists, the Licence entitling you to practise dentistry in your country* Proof of minimum of 3 years relevant professional work experience for university graduates and minimum of 4 years relevant professional work experience for "Zahntechnikermeister" (or equivalent degree) Proof of english language skills Letter of motivation Curriculum vitae recommendation letters (from a mentor, professor or employer) Passport photo where applicable: evidence of guest studies or participation in advanced training at a university
