Course description

The program in English and American Studies delves into the English language and literature across all English-speaking countries. In the area of linguistics, it explores the English language and its history. The focus is mainly on British and American English, including earlier stages of the language's development, but it also considers other varieties. In literary studies, the program examines the history of English and American literature, while also acknowledging other English-language literatures.
