M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
The Master's program offers a unique blend of biology, biochemistry, biophysics, materials science, medicine, bioinformatics, and nanotechnology. It focuses on the core principles of biomedicine and bionanotechnology with two main goals. First, it aims to better understand and characterize complex molecular machines using biological methods. Second, it seeks to develop new technologies for biomaterials and biomedicine applications through nanotechnology and bioinformatics. In the 20th century, both physics and biology have advanced to the atomic and molecular levels. To tackle new technological challenges, research must follow this trend, transitioning from micro- to nanotechnology. At this nanoscale, technology intersects with biology. The molecules within cells and all life forms are nanomachines encoded in genetic language. These nanomachines exhibit complex functionality on a tiny scale, offering greater efficiency with lower energy use and less environmental impact compared to other man-made technologies. The goal is to describe, utilize, manipulate, and develop these cellular machines. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to navigate this cutting-edge field, fostering an environment of trust, understanding, and inclusivity. It emphasizes clear and concise communication, ensuring that complex concepts are accessible. By mastering these
