Non-Destructive Testing
Subjects: Non-Destructive Testing
M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
Non-destructive testing (NDT) is crucial for quality assurance and control across various industries. The German Society for Non-Destructive Testing (DGZfP) offers step-by-step courses for examiners, providing a solid foundation for practical application. However, there's a growing need for comprehensive testing strategies. Until recently, Germany and many other regions lacked adequate academic training for the necessary engineering personnel. This gap has been filled by the Master's program in "Non-Destructive Testing" at Dresden International University (DIU), available since the summer semester of 2013. Participants in this program gain extensive knowledge in all areas of NDT. The curriculum covers both basic and specialized subjects, ensuring a well-rounded education. Small class sizes promote efficient and personalized learning, supported by thorough scientific supervision during theoretical and practical exercises. Students get hands-on experience with modern equipment essential to NDT methods. Practical exercises are conducted in various laboratories, such as those at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM), as shown in the accompanying picture. This program equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the field of non-destructive testing, addressing the industry's demand for well-trained professionals.
