Course description

In recent years, genomic research has revolutionized the life sciences. By sequencing entire genomes, we now gain unprecedented insights into the development and evolution of living organisms. According to the study qualification statutes, the following language requirements apply, which must be proven upon enrollment: Proof of the required foreign language skills in English: IELTS: overall score of 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in each of the four components) or TOEFL® ITP (Paper-based test): Overall score of 580 with a Test of Written English score of 5.5 or TOEFL® iBT (Internet-based test): Overall score of 90 with component scores of at least 20 points or Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): Grade A or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): Grade B or For applicants with a German university entrance qualification (HZB), an assessment in the English examination subject in the Abitur of at least 11 points or a grade of 2.0 Proof of a 6-month stay in an English-speaking country with a subject-specific connection to the course of study

The prerequisite for admission to the master's program is a completed bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences, biology, bioinformatics, biochemistry, genetics and related disciplines or an equivalent degree.
