Created in 1877 as a source of technical expertise for the metal working industry in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Pforzheim University has grown to become one of Germany's leading Applied Sciences universities. Hosting over 6,000 students, and many international visitors, the university offers a range of applied management degrees, with a focus on engineering, design, and business.
Pforzheim University is one of Germany's leading Applied Sciences Universities. As with most institutions of its kind, the Hochschule has a specific area of expertise, which in this case is industrial management. Under this theme, the school offers Masters and Bachelors courses in a range of practical subjects, including branding and engineering, managing modern supply chains, industrial design, and digital marketing. Additionally, it combines these subject areas with tight links to regional industry.
The school's MBA programs are among the most prestigious in Germany and offer direct routes into a diverse range of economic sectors, while facilities like the Gründerwerk Center specialize in company formation and entrepreneurship – helping to seed new companies in the Pforzheim region. While all Bachelors and most Masters are taught in German, provisions are made for international students, and the school maintains cooperative relationships with universities in Japan, Chile, Taiwan, Brazil, and many other nations.
Internationals studying for more than one year in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg will have to pay a €1,500 tuition fee per semester.
