LMU is home to 50,000 students. Just over 15% of these students hail from abroad. Students enjoy a vibrant life both on campus and in the city. Study at one of the most renowned universities in Germany.
LMU delivers over 200 degree courses. It is particularly well-known for medicine, with its 18,000-bed university hospital; it’s the most prestigious medical studies center in Germany. It’s also one of the most globally renowned institutions for studying the physical sciences, humanities, art, and literature.
LMU adopted the Bologna System for degrees in 1999, along with most German universities. However, it does still offer a handful of Diplom and Magister degrees. Many students are also able to learn two subject areas by choosing a Minor and Major element of their degree. It’s a leading choice for English-taught programs, particularly in the areas of psychology, business, and physics.
