The University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) was founded in 2017, its predecessors dating back to 2005 and 2000 respectively. 20 bachelor‘s and 10 master‘s degrees are currently offered between the university‘s three faculties. Around 3,000 students study across the three campuses, a majority of which are based in Berlin, the university‘s most international campus.
The University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) originated from the merger of the Business and Information Technology School (BiTS) and Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule (BTK). Its three faculties – Business, Sports, Media & Event, and Art & Design – emphasize an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates creative, digital, and entrepreneurial thinking. UE is owned and managed by Global University Systems, an educational company that operates numerous universities across Europe, Canada, and Israel.
In the recent past, the university was commended in prestigious rankings such as U-Multirank for its student mobility and learning environment. Taking its international approach seriously, a majority of the degree programs at UE are international courses taught in English entirely.
