The University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd (Pädagogische Hochschule Schwäbisch Gmünd) is a university in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Baden-Wuerttemberg. As its name suggests, the school is well-known for teacher training, but it also offers courses in nursing, literature, childhood services, and social work. In recent years, it has emerged as one of Germany's leading centers for researching childhood learning and as a leading hub for migration studies, giving it a distinctly international feel.

Dating back to 1825 (but taking its modern form in 1962), the University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd continues to offer high-quality teaching courses for all German school levels. Its student body includes over a thousand trainee teachers but goes beyond that, integrating a mixture of applied nursing and teaching qualifications with research-based social science courses.
The University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd is a major contributor of teaching expertise to communities across South Germany, in Baden-Wuerttemberg area. It offers teaching, nursing, and childcare qualifications, degrees in vocational education, and research-oriented Master of Science and Bachelors degrees in childhood education and the experience of migrants in German society.
The university works in tandem with schools and colleges across the neighboring region, allowing students to take up work placements and form detailed practical research projects. It collaborates internationally with 40 partner institutions, providing its students with scope for global projects as well. International students are welcomed, but instruction is generally in German. However, free German courses are provided via a helpful International Office, which assists visitors from abroad to ensure that they integrate quickly and fulfill their potential.
Internationals studying for more than one year in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg will have to pay a €1,500 tuition fee per semester.
