Aalen University (Hochschule Aalen) is a University of Applied Sciences located in the town of Aalen in Baden-Wuerttemberg, South Germany. This medium-size, modern university offers excellence in both teaching and research. It also boasts a number of technically rich facilities including advanced scientific laboratories.

The university of Aalen was originally formed as a state engineering school in 1963. In 1971, it became a University of Applied Sciences. It hosts 6,000 students, including 600 international students. The university offers a total of 60 course programs (bachelor's and master's) across three faculties.
Aalen University has a vibrant exchange program and offers many lectures in English. The triple-tiered exchange program allows students to study for a single semester (Silver), study for a semester and apply for an internship (Gold), or stay for a further six months abroad (Platinum).
Internships for all students are available at a wide number of regional companies including Audi, Porsche and Bosch. There are three faculties: Chemistry, Optics & Mechatronics and Economics. The university partners with the Graduate School Ostwürttemberg, helping develop graduates and young technical professionals in the region.
Internationals studying for more than one year in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg will have to pay a €1,500 tuition fee per semester.
