Aalen University (Hochschule Aalen) is a University of Applied Sciences located in the town of Aalen in Baden-Wuerttemberg, South Germany. The university of Aalen was originally formed as a state engineering school in 1963. In 1971, it became a University of Applied Sciences. Aalen University has a vibrant exchange program and offers many lectures in English. The triple-tiered exchange program allows students to study for a single semester (Silver), study for a semester and apply for an internship (Gold), or stay for a further six months abroad (Platinum).
Internships for all students are available at a wide number of regional companies including Audi, Porsche and Bosch. There are three faculties: Chemistry, Optics & Mechatronics and Economics. The university partners with the Graduate School Ostwürttemberg, helping develop graduates and young technical professionals in the region.
